I had a blast running 4E at
Games Plus on Sunday. A big shout out to Rob, Todd and Chad (from the
Lords of Tyr) and Matt for coming out and playing. I don't think that I did a
perfect job, but I hope everyone had a good time! More thoughts about the game later...

Very fun! And I like your blog! I'm glad I came out to play.
I made a thread asking about the "insubstantial" status on the WotC forums. Hopefully there will be some good responses.

On a related note, I looked into the cover rules. We were basically using them correctly, with one exception. From the cover rules:
To determine if a target has cover, choose a corner of a square you occupy (or a corner of your attack's origin square) and trace imaginary lines from that corner to every corner of any one square the target occupies. If one or two of these lines are blocked by an obstacle or an enemy, the target has cover.
So basically, we were determining cover correctly, although I don't believe we were counting enemies in the way. Although it should be noted that allies never grant cover nor do enemies grant cover against melee, close, or area attacks.
Hey Thanks again Anthony! We all had a blast and we are definitely learning the rules better together. I really enjoyed playing a paladin again too!
