My Subscription to DDI Has Expired!

Well, my 3-month subscription to Dungeons & Dragons Insider has expired. I'm really torn about whether or not to renew it. I mainly joined for the electronic tools and while the Character Builder is great, there just isn't much else that excites me. I don't really use the Compendium and there still doesn't seem to be a timetable for the other tools to be rolled out. On top of that I'm not much of an 'early adopter' so the preview stuff doesn't really excite me. Dragon and Dungeon are pretty good, but I don't know if I can justify the cost just to have access to them. Decisions, decisions...

This isn't a helpful comment to you, but someone was asking what happens to your Character Builder program when your DDI expires. Do you just not get updates, or do you go back to a demo version?

Since you've expired, what happened?

It looks like I am demo version. I can sign in successfully, but not access very much.

The Character Builder is intended to continue to work even after your subscription is expired, with all the data that you had at the time you left. You just won't be able to get updates of new data. (though if you have to re-install in the future, you'll need a subscription to get all the latest data)

Oops. I must have failed my Perception check when I first read your comment. Character Builder still works fine.

Did you happen to have the monster builder as well? And if so, does that continue to work after your subscription expired?
